BC Highland Games June 24, 2006

BC Highland Games are happening today out at Coquitlam town centre.
Last year I managed a booth to promote “Gung Haggis Fat Choy
activities.  I sold Gung Haggis Fat Choy t-shirts, and had
displays of Gung Haggis Fat Choy Robbie Burns Chinese New Year dinners
+ dragon boat team.

Wish I could do it again today… but this has been a very busy week
with Chinese head tax redress apology on Thursday, Joy Kogawa
Celebration dinner last night, etc.

This morning the kilt and bagpipe jokes continued, as I attended a Vancouver Canadian Club
board meeting.  I did inform my fellow board members that Canada
has more bagpipers than Scotland does.  The comments continued…
“Can we send them back?”  I then informed people that not all
bagpipers come from Scotland.  My friend Zhong Xi (“Jonesey”) is
from Harbin China.  Somebody else exclaimed that in Canada, we
have one of the best bagpipe bands in the world – the SFU Bagpipe Band
